VFL and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Peyton Manning narrated the Denver Broncos’ hype video on Friday as the team prepares to take on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game on Sunday afternoon in the Mile High City.
After a long stint with the Indianapolis Colts, Manning spent his final four professional seasons with the Broncos. He led Denver to two Super Bowl appearances and went through the Patriots in the conference championship both times. Manning’s Broncos defeated Tom Brady’s Patriots by a score of 26-16 in 2014 and by a score of 20-18 in 2016. The latter of which led to Manning’s second and final Super Bowl victory.
Perhaps Manning was the perfect representative to get the ball rolling into the weekend.
Our legacy means everything.

The Denver Broncos don’t have any former Volunteers on the roster, but the Patriots do. New England backup quarterback and NFL journeyman Josh Dobbs is looking for his first-ever Super Bowl appearance if the Patriots can find a win on Sunday afternoon in Denver. Dobbs hasn’t played much this season, but last week’s season-ending surgery to Broncos starter Bo Nix is a stark reminder that anyone’s number can be called at any time.
Dobbs has seen action in four games this year, throwing for 65 yards on 7-of-10 passing throughout the season. He’s also racked up 10 rushing yards on four attempts. He spent the 2024 season as a backup quarterback with the San Francisco 49ers, but the team had a down year and only went 6-11 while losing seven of their final eight games down the stretch. The 49ers did not make the playoffs with a well-below .500 record.
This will be Dobbs’ first-ever conference championship weekend appearance in his career.
The 1-seed Denver Broncos will host the 2-seed New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. ET in Mile High Stadium.
