It wasn’t easy, but Lady Vols basketball earned a quality road win at Georgia on Thursday night. Tennessee claimed an 82-77 victory in overtime to snap its two-game losing skid.
After the game, Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell and forward Zee Spearman met with the media. They were asked about the overtime period, what they learned from the recent loss to UConn, the play of specific players and more.
“Didn’t love the end of the game,” Caldwell said. “Happy to get out of here with a win. You just have to stack them in this league and on the road.”
Spearman was a crucial piece of the win for Tennessee. She notched a team-high 23 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field and 2-for-7 from range. She also grabbed three rebounds and passed for three assists.
This was a return home of sorts for Spearman, as well. She is from Dacula, Georgia, just a short drive away.
