Prediction:
Both teams enter this game playing well. The Vols have won four straight while Kentucky has won seven of its last eight after dropping its first two games in conference play. It’s a bit of a hard game to project with three Tennessee players questionable.
Part of me is very hesitant to predict Tennessee to go on the road and beat a team it lost to at home. However, many of the defensive and rebounding issues that Tennessee had in the first game were uncharacteristic while Kentucky shot well above its season average from deep.
The Vols find a way to keep their winning streak alive and win a close game on the road.
Tennessee 79, Kentucky 76
