It’s officially Friday, which means that the 2026 Tennessee Baseball season is finally here. After the most talked-about season in UT baseball history with the departure of Tony Vitello to MLB, head coach Josh Elander is ready to lead the Volunteers into a new era. The fans have given their full support to the longtime Tennessee assistant, and the excitement is high to see what the Vols’ roster can do this season.
In addition to the changes both on the field and in the dugout this season, Tennessee will also be debuting a near-complete version of Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Construction took place throughout the Vols’ 2025 season, but massive progress was made during the offseason to give Tennessee a newly renovated ballpark to play in.
Ahead of the season-opening series against Nicholls beginning on Friday afternoon, Tennessee dropped a new hype video on Thursday night to start building the excitement. The video is narrated by new head coach Josh Elander.
