Four-star big man Cody Peck released a top four including Tennessee basketball on Friday afternoon, 247sports’ Dushawn London first reported. Creighton, Dayton and Miami also joined the Vols in Peck’s top group.

Peck officially visited Tennessee in the fall for the same weekend that the Vol football team hosted Oklahoma at Neyland Stadium. It was one of Tennessee basketball’s final recruiting weekends of the fall but Peck did not end up making a decision before the early signing period. The Vols have not seemed to push overly hard for the four-star forward’s commitment.

“It was amazing,” Peck told RTI following his visit. “Just getting to learn more about the coaches personally. Seeing campus more in depth is incredible. The environment at the football game was crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it before so it was definitely an incredible visit, for sure.”

The four-star recruit also took an official visit to Dayton back in the fall and has taken official visits to both Miami and Creighton in recent weeks.

Peck ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 105 player in the country according to the 247sports composite ranking. The Charlotte native also ranks as the No. 12 center and the No. 2 player in the state of North Carolina in the 2026 recruiting cycle. 247sports own rankings are a bit higher on Peck, tabbing him as the No. 82 player in the country.

Tennessee basketball signed three players in the 2026 recruiting cycle back in the fall including four-star wings Ralph Scott and Manny Green as well as three-star point guard Marquis Clark.

The Vols have a mostly full class as they prepare to replenish their roster in the transfer portal following the season. Peck is the only uncommitted prospect that has officially visited Tennessee. Former Alabama four-star commit Chris Washington had scheduled an official visit to Tennessee in late January but inclement weather led to him postponing the trip.

Tennessee loses seniors Felix Okpara, Ja’Kobi Gillespie, Amaree Abram and Grant Hurst to graduation following the season. They will almost certainly lose Nate Ament to the NBA Draft and could lose other players to the transfer portal.

The Vols’ three-commit 2026 recruiting class currently ranks No. 21 in the country and No. 6 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
