Tennessee football is expected to not just have multiple draft picks this cycle, but multiple first-round selections in the 2026 NFL Draft. As the process rages on, a number of former Vols made the trip to Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine.

While at the podium, wide receiver Chris Brazzell was asked about who on the roster at UT will be next up in the NFL. He named a handful of players, but quarterback George MacIntyre stands out. While the others have already proven themselves to a certain extent, MacIntyre is yet to start a game at the college level.

“Who are we not going to talk about?” Brazzell said. “There’s a couple guys up there. A lot of guys to be honest. Braylon Staley, Mike Matthews, David Sanders, George (MacIntyre). A lot of guys up there.”

MacIntyre is the only player of the trio to have prior experience in the system. He served as the third-string option behind Joey Aguilar and Jake Merklinger.

In this time, MacIntyre attempted nine passes and completed seven of them. He threw for a total of 69 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He went 6-for-7 for 52 yards against ETSU and 1-for-2 for 17 yards against New Mexico State.

MacIntyre was a highly-rated in-state recruit in the 2025 class. 247 Composite listed him as the No. 151 player in the country, No. 13 quarterback and No. 2 player from the state of Tennessee. He played at Brentwood Academy.
