Tennessee baseball returned to Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Tuesday and handled ETSU, 7-1. The Vols got a shaky outing from Blaine Brown to start, but settled in with Brady Frederick before putting up four runs in the bottom of the first. That was a lead it never surrendered.

After the game, Vols head coach Josh Elander met with the media to discuss what transpired. He was asked about the bad start to the first inning, Frederick ‘putting out the fire’, production at the plate and more.

Frederick also met with the media. He ended the day with 3.0 innings pitched while producing a line of no allowed hits, no earned runs, a walk and three strikeouts over the course of 37 pitches. He was tabbed with the win, marking a 2-0 record on the season.

Reese Chapman also fielded questions. He had a productive day, notching hits in all three plate appearances. This included a run, RBI and double before being pinch-hit for.
