It’s no secret that this season hasn’t gone as planned for Kim Caldwell and Lady Vols basketball. That hasn’t stopped the viewership from remaining one of the best across the country.
According to a report from On3, Tennessee was the third-most-watched team in the country. This was behind only South Carolina and Iowa.
Directly behind the Lady Vols are LSU, Texas, Notre Dame, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and USC. Tennessee is the only team in the top five not to be ranked in the final AP Poll of the regular season.

More From RTI: Here’s What Role LVFL Candace Parker Will Have With the March Madness Tournament
The Lady Vols will continue to be in the national spotlight for the remainder of the season. First, Tennessee squares off with Alabama in the SEC Tournament on Thursday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network. The winner gets Texas in the following round.
Coming off a six-game losing skid, grabbing a win in the conference tournament could go a long way with the NCAA Tournament right around the corner.
“Well, I think, again, when we talked yesterday, it’s about really picking it up in March,” Caldwell said. “New season, new version of yourself. A little extra. Just a little extra. Let’s give a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more. Level up a little bit in March.”
Then, the NCAA Tournament begins. The Lady Vols are currently projected to open up March Madness as a 7-seed, according to ESPN. In that projection, Tennessee will face 10-seed Virginia in the opening round. The winner of that game would get the winner between 2-seed Michigan and 15-seed LMU in Ann Arbor.
