
Tennessee Basketball will match up against Vanderbilt in an in-state rivalry game to close down the regular season on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville. The game will be played at 2:00 p.m. ET and will also serve as Tennessee’s Senior Day game.
Tennessee is 21-9 on the season with an 11-6 record in conference play. Saturday’s game will go a long way in determining the Vols’ seeding and path through the SEC Tournament next week in Nashville. Tennessee previously defeated Vanderbilt by a score of 69-65 on its home court last month, with senior guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie scoring 17 points in the win.
Ahead of this weekend’s regular season finale, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes and senior guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie met with the media on Friday afternoon in Knoxville. Both talked about playing Vanderbilt for a second time, what Tennessee will need to do in order to pick up a win, the Senior Day festivities, and much more.
