The 2026 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament is set to begin on Wednesday, with Tennessee basketball in action on Thursday. With the NCAA Tournament right around the corner and brackets revealed on Sunday, Vegas is starting to settle in on futures odds.
As of Wednesday morning, you can get the Vols to win their first-ever men’s basketball national championship at +10000 odds on FanDuel. That means betting $100 on the result would lead to winning $10,000.
These odds are tied for the 15th-best in the country. UT is slotted alongside Louisville, Kentucky, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Alabama and Virginia at that mark.
Leading the country in odds to win the national title is Michigan at +300. Then, it’s Duke, Arizona, Florida, Houston, Illinois, UConn, Iowa State, Purdue, Kansas, Michigan State, Gonzaga, Arkansas and St. John’s making up the other teams positioned ahead of Tennessee.

The odds the Vols will make their first-ever men’s basketball Final Four are set at +2500. That’s also tied for the 15th-best mark in the country.
Tennessee’s SEC Tournament Championship odds have settled at +1700 entering the event. That’s the fifth-best odds behind Florida, Arkansas, Alabama and Vanderbilt. 5-seed UT will play the winner between 12-seed Auburn and 13-seed Mississippi State on Thursday. The game is scheduled for approximately 3 p.m. ET.
If Tennessee is able to win that game, it’d then match up with 4-seed Vanderbilt. The Vols and Commodores have split games this season, both winning on the road. The winner of that game would get 1-seed Florida, though, which is considered the favorite to win the tournament.
Tennessee is projected to earn a 5-seed in the NCAA Tournament, according to ESPN’s bracketology. A strong showing in the SEC Tournament could push the Vols up to the 4-seed line, though, depending on how other teams perform.
