Tennessee football is one of the five schools still in the mix to land the talents of an elite interior offensive line recruit. Four-star prospect Terrance Smith named the Vols, LSU, Rutgers, Florida and Auburn as his top five, according to Rivals.

Smith is considered the No. 266 player in the 2027 class, according to 247 Composite. He clocks in as the No. 14 interior offensive lineman and No. 9 player from the state of Pennsylvania, as well.

Smith is from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia. He goes to Lansdale Catholic High School.

Smith has visits set up to four of his five finalists, according to 247, as well. First, he’ll see LSU on April 17. Then, he’ll head to Florida on May 28. It’ll be a trip to Auburn on June 5 before checking out Tennessee on June 12. 247 does not list a visit set up to Rutgers.

Tennessee is off to a strong start in the 2027 cycle. So far, UT has landed four commitments in the class. The Vols boast four-star offensive lineman Princeton Uwaifo as the headliner, with four-star Kadin Fife also in the boat. However, Fife is apparently back in the evaluation process after defensive staff changes.

Three-star quarterback Derrick Baker and legacy linebacker JP Peace are also committed. More commitments are expected to roll in throughout the offseason as the class heats up, though.

This comes after Tennessee landed the No. 4 class in the country and No. 2 in the SEC via 247 in the 2026 cycle.
