Lady Vols basketball reeled in the signing of one of the top players in the country in the 2026 class. Five-star forward and the No. 2 recruit in the nation on ESPNW, Oliviyah Edwards, put pen to paper to join Kim Caldwell’s UT program.

As one of the best players in the country, Edwards was naturally named a McDonald’s All-American. Ahead of the game on Tuesday, she fielded questions from the media. This ranged from her excitement to join the Lady Vols to how she’d design a UT jersey.

“Just seeing my name on ESPN and having my mom there recording me and everything, like, just all the feelings going through my mind and just thinking about everything I put into basketball, all the hard work I put into it, and it finally being a dream come true,” Edwards said. “Like, I got to where I wanted to go, and I’m here.”

Also joining Edwards at the podium was five-star Vanderbilt signee Olivia Jones.
