The transfer portal is officially open as thousands of players across the country jump at the chance to find greener pastures elsewhere. Tennessee is again looking to rebuild its roster after a third straight trip to the Elite Eight and fourth straight trip to the second weekend of the season.

The Vols had five players enter the transfer portal in a 24 hour stretch from Monday morning through Tuesday morning. Here’s where Tennessee’s roster now stands after the latest movement.

Who Is On The Roster

Remaining Players From Last Season

  • G Troy Henderson
  • G Ethan Burg
  • G Gavin Paul*
  • F Nate Ament
  • F DeWayne Brown
  • F Campbell Duncan*

Ament is expected to declare for the 2026 NBA Draft but has not yet made that announcement at this point in time. Tennessee is fighting to keep Evans in the fold after a promising freshman season. The Vols have lost an abundance of players to the portal but retaining Evans, Brown and Burg would give them a young core to keep their culture and build around moving forward.

Incoming Transfers

  • Belmont SG Tyler Lundblade

Lundblade is coming off a standout season at Belmont, averaging 15.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game on his way to earning MVC Player of the Year honors. One of the top shooters in the country, Lundblade made 112 three-pointers at a 40.9% clip last season. Lundblade made the seventh most triples nationally last season.

Incoming Freshman

  • Four-star wing Ralph Scott
  • Four-star wing Manny Green
  • Three-star guard Marquis Clark

None of the three project as key players for Tennessee next season though any could carve out a role with Green being the most likely to do so. Read about Green and Clark’s strong seniors seasons here.

Outgoing Players

Out Of Eligibility

  • G Ja’Kobi Gillespie
  • G Amaree Abram
  • G Grant Hurst*
  • C Felix Okpara

Gillespie was a First Team All-SEC selection in his senior season, averaging 18.4 points and 5.4 assists per game in his lone season as Tennessee. Okpara is an elite rim protecting, versatile defender and lob threat on the offensive end. Landing a rim protecting big and a high-level point guard were always going to be top priorities for Tennessee. Hurst was a former walk-on and Abram did not end up with a major role.

Intend To Enter The Transfer Portal

  • G Bishop Boswell
  • G Clarence Massamba
  • F Amari Evans
  • F Cade Phillips
  • F Jaylen Carey
  • F J.P. Estrella

These are varying degrees of surprising. Some are seeking more playing time elsewhere. Others are seeking a serious pay day in the portal. Boswell and Estrella were each starters on last season’s team. Tennessee can mitigate Boswell’s departure by keeping Evans. Losing four of five front court players is a blow and means the Vols will have to add a good deal of bodies there this month.
