After trips to Dallas, Nashville, and Atlanta over the past three years, SEC Media Days is headed to the Sunshine State.
As announced by the Southeastern Conference on Wednesday afternoon, the 2026 SEC Media Days event for the upcoming football season will be held in Tampa, FL, this July. The event will take place from July 20-23 at the Tampa Marriott Water Street and JW Marriott.
Tennessee Football and head coach Josh Heupel will be on the first day of the four-day event. According to the official release, the Vols will be the final group of the day behind Kentucky HC Will Stein, Missouri HC Eliah Drinkwitz, and Oklahoma HC Brent Venables.
The event will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
The three Tennessee players to accompany Josh Heupel at the event won’t be announced until this summer. Tennessee announced its player reps exactly seven days before the event last year.
Here’s a look at who Tennessee has sent in each of Heupel’s previous years:
- 2025: Miles Kitselman, Bryson Eason, Arion Carter
- 2024: Cooper Mays, Omari Thomas, Keenan Pili
- 2023: Omari Thomas, Joe Milton III, Jacob Warren
- 2022: Hendon Hooker, Trevon Flowers, Cedric Tillman
- 2021: Alontae Taylor, Velus Jones Jr.

Each day will present one new coach who came from a different conference, including Tennessee’s day on Monday with Kentucky HC Will Stein. Auburn’s Alex Golesh will go on Tuesday, Florida’s Jon Sumrall will go on Wednesday, and Arkansas’ Ryan Silverfield will go on Thursday. LSU’s Lane Kiffin, who flipped over from Ole Miss before the College Football Playoffs, will go on the final day.
