Lady Vols basketball is hosting Arizona forward transfer Blessing Adebanjo on a visit on Thursday, according to her Instagram story. Adebanjo just completed her second collegiate season, giving her two years of eligibility remaining.
This past season, the 6-foot-3 forward played in 26 games and started in four. Over the course of 10.4 minutes per outing, she produced 3.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.5 steals per game. This came on 50% shooting from the field and no attempted 3-pointers.
The Wildcats finished this past season 12-18 (3-15 Big 12) and missed out on the NCAA Tournament. This was the first year under new head coach Becky Burke.
Prior to her time at Arizona in America, Adebanjo played her freshman season at a college in Japan. At Yamanashi Gakun University, she averaged 15.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 7.7 blocks per game. She even totalled 45 points and 17 rebounds in a single game while being named Athlete of the Year.

Adebanjo went to high school at Japan Aviation Academy. There, she competed in the 2023 Winter Cup All-Japan Games. Initially, Adebanjo is from Lagos, Nigeria.
Tennessee is looking to completely retool its roster this offseason. After losing every player from this past season’s team, either due to a lack of eligibility or eight outgoing transfers, the Lady Vols had just one incoming player in four-star freshman Gabby Minus on the roster.
So far, Kim Caldwell and company have landed five players, though. This includes Liberty’s Avery Mills, Northern Arizona’s Naomi White, Stanford’s Harper Peterson and Georgia’s Zhen Craft and Rylie Theuerkauf. Peterson and Craft are both forwards committed to the program. While Peterson has the potential to be a knockdown shooter, Craft and Adebanjo haven’t shown much of an outside shot at this point in their careers.
