Tennessee basketball and Rick Barnes are putting together another terrific transfer portal haul. The latest addition is Notre Dame standout freshman Jalen Haralson, who committed shortly after his visit on Wednesday.
While there is still work to be done, the Vols now have four highly-touted commitments in the portal. This, combined with the incoming freshmen and returners, projects Tennessee to have another chance at making its first-ever Final Four
After losing in a third-straight Elite Eight to Michigan last month, Barnes discussed what it may take to get over the hump.
“We’ve seen enough in this game. There’s a lot of different ways to get there,” Barnes said about trying to get to the Final Four. “But if you want to break through, you’ve got to get here first. You’ve got to put yourself in position to do that.
“We’ve been able to get here three years in a row, and it’ll be hard to get back to winning games just in the tournament. That first game of the tournament in the hardest one. But our goal would be to keep getting back and kicking and hopefully we can knock the door down.”
