VCU transfer combo guard Terrence Hill Jr. committed to Tennessee basketball Sunday morning, choosing the Vols over Kansas.

Hill visited both his top candidates this week. The Vols survived the Kansas visit and got Hill on campus late this week. Rick Barnes and his staff got to the finish line during the visit with Hill committed to Tennessee the two days after the official visit ended.

Hill is coming off a standout sophomore year at VCU where he averaged 15 points, 2.8 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-3 guard is a talented and efficient scorer, shooting 46.6% from the field and made 81 three-pointers at a 37% clip last season.

The Portland native’s 128.3 offensive rating last season would have been the best on Tennessee’s team and ranked 74th nationally. He also posted a solid 23.8% assist rate and 10.2% turnover rate.
