Tennessee Baseball is breaking out its Dark Mode uniforms for Friday night’s series opener against Ole Miss in Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The uniforms feature a black hat with the interlocking UT logo, a black jersey with large orange letters that spell out ‘VOLS’ across the chest, and white pants.
The Vols first debuted the Dark Mode uniforms on the diamond in May 2022. This came just a handful of months after Tennessee Football first broke out its black uniforms during the 2021 football season. After a handful of years of use, the Dark Mode uniforms have become an alternate fixture for football, men’s basketball, and baseball.
Tennessee even won Game 3 of the College World Series Finals while wearing the Dark Mode uniforms, placing the look in the all-time history books of Tennessee Athletics and college baseball as a whole.

The Volunteers will start their three-game series against the Rebels at 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday evening. The two teams will then square off at 6:00 p.m. ET on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. All three games will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
The Vols are 25-12 on the season, but are coming off a three-game sweep at No. 9 Mississippi State last weekend in Starkville. The three wins helped push Tennessee’s SEC record to 7-8 in Josh Elander’s first year as head coach. With a series win this weekend, Tennessee can get back on the right side of the .500 mark in conference play.
