Tennessee Baseball Moves Up First Pitch Time For Saturday Game Against Ole Miss

First pitch time for game two of Tennessee baseball’s weekend series against Ole Miss is now at 4 p.m. ET. First pitch was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. ET before Tennessee moved it up two hours due to forecasted inclement weather.

Sunday’s series finale between Tennessee and Ole Miss is still set for 1 p.m. ET. The SEC Network+ is streaming both games.

Ole Miss took the series opener over Tennessee, 7-4, on Friday night. The Vols jumped out to an early 1-0 lead thanks to a first inning solo homer form Reese Chapman. But Ole Miss gained control after scoring one run in the second, two runs in the third, another run in the fourth and two more in the fourth.

Tennessee’s offense again struggled as the Vols scored just four runs and failed to take advantage of a number of scoring opportunities.

Ole Miss improved to 9-7 in SEC play with the series-opening victory. The Rebels are playing extremely well at this point in the season, having won six of their last seven SEC games.

The Vols are now 7-9 in SEC play. They are coming off their best weekend of the series when they swept Mississippi State in Starkville.

Right-handed pitcher Tegan Kuhns (2-3, 3.77 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 45.1 IP) is stating for Tennessee while right-handed pitcher Cade Townsend (3-1, 2.02 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 35.2 IP) is starting for the Rebels.
