On Friday, Lady Vols basketball landed another commitment to add to its 2026-27 roster. Out of Manchester, United Kingdom, Irene Oboavwoduo picked Tennessee after a string of official visits. She was previously signed to Boston College, but was released due to a coaching change.
The addition of Oboavwoduo now puts seven players on Tennessee’s roster. Five of these players are listed as guards, with two coming in as true forwards. It also features five incoming transfers and two freshmen. Oboavwoduo joins four-star and top-50 prospect Gabby Minus in the 2026 class.
With the entire roster turning over from last season, there are going to need to be about five more additions this offseason. The Lady Vols are continuing to host transfers in order to round out Kim Caldwell’s third team on Rocky Top.
