Tennessee Basketball added its sixth transfer portal player on Friday afternoon with a commitment from Kennesaw State forward Braeden Lue. The 6-foot-9, 235-pound prospect announced his commitment to the Big Orange before the weekend.

Lue, a native of Douglasville, GA, played his first two collegiate seasons at Kennesaw State. He played 68 games with the Owls over those two years and started 66 games. Lue has been a productive player in his collegiate tenure so far, as he averaged 10.0 points during his freshman season and 10.9 points during his sophomore season. He also racked up 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game during the Owls’ campaign last year. Lue is a career 44.4% shooter from the field.

While speaking to the media about UT’s portal class on Thursday, which was prior to Lue’s commitment, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes said that “there’s just something there that this is who we want to go through this with.”

“We’re going to work hard to help them get better, and along the way, them getting better is gonna get our program better,” Barnes said on Thursday. “And in the end, we hope to break through and get done what we want to get done.”
