With the college basketball season six weeks in the rearview, action in the transfer portal is starting to die down as Tennessee basketball looks to add one more big man to its roster for the 2026-27 season.
The Vols lost six players to the transfer portal this offseason with five being quality players who landed in either the Big 10 or SEC. Amari Evans, Jaylen Carey and Cade Phillips are all sticking in the SEC with Evans landing at Texas, Phillips at Texas A&M and Carey at Missouri.
J.P. Estrella landed with the defending national champions at Michigan while Bishop Boswell is looking to jump start Maryland’s program in Buzz Williams’ second season as head coach.
Tennessee replaced a strong group of outgoing transfers with one of the nation’s best incoming transfer classes. The Vols landed a number of marquee players, especially in the backcourt where Tennessee should have one of the nation’s best groups of guards next season.
247sports released its final transfer portal rankings on Wednesday and the strength of Tennessee’s transfer class, and particularly its backcourt, was extremely notable. The Vols landed six players in the top 100 of the rankings with five of them being guards.
Here’s a look at where all of Tennessee’s incoming and outgoing transfers rank in the final 247sports transfer rankings.
