Tennessee enters the SEC Tournament with a 36-19 (15-15 SEC) record. The Vols played poorly in their first four SEC series, leaving a series loss against LSU with a 4-8 SEC record. But starting with a series sweep at Mississippi State, the Vols posted an 11-7 SEC record in their final six series.

Tennessee is playing its best baseball of the season entering the postseason, having won three of its final four SEC series including over Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma.

The Vols have solidified themselves as an NCAA Tournament team over the last few weeks. While they don’t seem to have a chance to host a regional, they will look to improve their standing in Hoover. However, with some banged up players and little chance to host, it will be interesting to see how aggressive Tennessee is with its pitching staff next week.
