Tennessee softball came just a win short of appearing in the WCWS national championship series and is now looking to retool the roster to get over the hump under Karen Weekly. With the transfer portal open, the Lady Vols are looking to retain key pieces while supplementing holes through the portal itself.
So far, UT has lost three players to the portal. This now includes a starter from last year’s team, as infielder Ella Dodge announced she’ll be looking for a new home after three years in the program. She joins reserve pieces outfielder Saviya Morgan and pitcher Kailey Plumlee, who has committed to Alabama.
The Lady Vols also are yet to land a commitment through the portal themself. However, there’s still plenty of time left for Weekly and company to make a splash.
