Last week, Tennessee baseball transfer commit Braydon Kersey earned Third Team All-American honors from Perfect Game. It turned out, Kersey wouldn’t end up being the only future Vol to earn All-American honors for their play during the 2026 season.

Air Force infielder Wyatt Hanoian committed to Tennessee baseball earlier this week after earning Second Team Freshman All-American honors from Perfect Game last week. Hanoian was the utility infielder on the second team joining his new Tennessee teammate Cam Appenzeller on the team.

The switch hitting Hanoian slashed .357/.498/.573 with six home runs, 14 doubles and four triples at Air Force last season. He also drove in 49 runs.Hanoian has a strong command of the strike zone, walking 32 times and striking out just 21 times. He was hit by 24 pitches last season.

“I mean I just want to be a tough out,” Hanoian told RTI. “I mean that’s kind of a common thing that everyone’s been asking me.
I mean, I try not to strike out, I want to get on base a lot, so being a tough out, grind at bats.”

If all goes according to plan for Tennessee in the transfer portal, Hanoian will start at second base next season. However, he has positional versatility and could also play a handful of other spots including third base and shortstop.

Hanoian is one of three players committed to Tennessee baseball out of the transfer portal along with Mercer two-way Braydon Kersey and Northwestern LHP Brody Trosclair.
