Tennessee two-way transfer Taylor Tracey committed to TCU baseball on Thursday afternoon, he announced on his Instagram.
Tracey played in 15 games in his freshman season before entering the transfer portal and landing back in his home state. Most of his appearances came on the mound where Tracey posted a 3.26 ERA in 19.1 innings pitched.
The left-handed pitcher started five games, including one against Texas, while making 10 appearances out of the bullpen. Tracey struck out 28 batters while walking 15 in 19.1 innings pitched. Only three of his appearances came in SEC play where he posted an 18.00 ERA and 4.50 WHIP in two innings pitched.
Tracey had just two plate appearances, going 0-for-2 with a strikeout. While he did little at the plate in his freshman season, Tracey flashed at times at the plate as an outfielder during fall practice.
