Where Tennessee Baseball Players, Commits Land In MLB Draft Rankings

The 2026 MLB Draft is three weeks away as Josh Elander and his staff work to put together Tennessee’s roster for the 2027 season. The Vols have been extremely active in the portal to date while retaining most of the top players from last season’s team returning to college baseball.

But the draft remains the major question mark for Tennessee’s roster next season. There aren’t many current Tennessee players in a stay or go situation— though Blake Grimmer is a big one who could provide a major boost to the Vols’ lineup if he returns for the 2027 season.

The bigger questions surround a small handful of Tennessee transfer commits and over a half dozen of the Vols’ high school signees who could be on Tennessee’s roster next season or opt to go ahead and begin their professional careers.

MLB Pipeline has released a top 200 draft board while Perfect Game has released a top 300 draft board. Both are ripe with Tennessee players and commits.
