Tennessee basketball was as active as any team in the transfer portal this offseason, landing eight different transfers including five to six players who ranked in the top 100 of various transfer portal rankings. The players Tennessee landed in the transfer portal were not only some of the best available transfers in the country but some of the best players in the country.
The Three Man Weave released its rankings of the best 100 players in college basketball entering the 2027 season and a trio of Volunteer players were on the list.
Jalen Haralson came in at No. 92 on the list while Terrence Hill came in at No. 66 and Juke Harris came in at No. 22.
Haralson transferred to Tennessee from Notre Dame this offseason after a strong freshman season where he averaged 16.2 points, four rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. The 6-foot-7 guard has a versatile skillset, and despite not being a good perimeter shooter, could be one of the most complete players on Tennessee’s roster.
The former McDonald’s All-American had the ninth highest usage rate nationally last season and will have to adjust to playing without the ball more in his sophomore season. With defensive versatility, Haralson is one of the biggest question marks on Tennessee’s roster.

Hill is coming off a standout sophomore year at VCU where he averaged 15 points, 2.8 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-3 guard is a talented and efficient scorer, shooting 46.6% from the field and made 81 three-pointers at a 37% clip last season.
The 6-foot-3 guard was more of a combo guard at VCU but has shown true point guard flashes this summer as he takes the reigns in a Rick Barnes’ offense.
Harris was he prized piece of Tennessee’s transfer portal class with the Wake Forest wing choosing the Vols over defending national champion Michigan and North Carolina. Harris is coming off a sophomore season where he averaged 21.4 points on 44.4% shooting from the field and 33.3% shooting from three-point range.
