Kaden Martin, the son of current Tennessee wide receivers coach and former national championship-winning quarterback Tee Martin, already holds a scholarship offer from Tennessee in baseball. On Tuesday, he picked up an offer from the Vols’ football program as well.

Martin, who is currently a sophomore at Knoxville Catholic, tweeted out on Tuesday night that he has been offered to play football for Tennessee.

The 2022 dual-threat quarterback prospect already has offers from Alabama, Kentucky, USC, Duke, and other programs in football. Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss just extended an offer to Martin recently as well.

The 6-foot, 200-pound athlete transferred from Redondo High School in California when his father was hired on as UT’s wide receivers coach this past offseason. In baseball, Martin was named the 4-AAA Rookie of the Year for his performance in the spring of 2019 for Knoxville Catholic. Martin is a two-way player in baseball, playing both as a center fielder and a pitcher.

In football, Martin started at quarterback for Knoxville Catholic as a sophomore, and his work on the football field was enough to grab the attention of several top programs. Now, Tennessee has also given him an offer.

Tee himself was elated with the offer, giving congratulations to his son on Twitter.

Martin’s older brother, Clemson wide receiver and soon-to-be NFL Draft pick Amari Rodgers, also chimed in with his praise for his younger brother getting the offer from Tennessee.

Just like his father, Kaden possesses a strong arm at quarterback and can already heave the ball deep as a sophomore. The lefty can make a number of throws already. He has good footwork and can move well, running the 40-yard dash in 5.13 seconds as a 15-year-old. It’s believed that Martin is actually a better baseball prospect than a football prospect, and he could have a tough decision to make by the time his senior year rolls around.

In football, Martin threw for 1,226 yards and 11 touchdowns while also rushing for nine scores in 2019.

Tee Martin, Kaden’s father, led the Vols to an undefeated season in 1998 and a national title. Martin finished his UT career with 4,592 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. He’s been on Tennessee’s staff as an assistant coach since January of 2019.
