He put the Vols in his final eight in early August along with Alabama, Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Ohio State, in no particular order. He committed to Oklahoma on December 19th, 2014.

DeBerry has virtually everything Tennessee is looking for in a front-seven player. He’s got size, a ton of athleticism and some versatility as well.

He does it all in high school – plays running back and receiver on offense and then plays outside linebacker and a more traditional defensive end spot on D. He’s projected as an OLB in college for now, though he could easily grow into being a rush defensive end as well.
