9. Tennessee vs. Cincinnati, Birmingham Bowl (Birmingham, Ala.)
If the Vols do fall to this one, might as well make it interesting. Butch Jones played Tennessee as the head coach of Cincinnati in the regular season in 2011 and now he’d get to face his former team as the head coach of UT in this matchup. Led by former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville, the Bearcats also have three former UT staffers – Eddie Gran, Darin Hinshaw and Blake Rolan on staff. Fox Sports recently projected Cincinnati to this bowl, so if the Vols finish 6-6 and get left out of that group of six bowls, this is very realistic.
