Was it a good ranking? Yes. Medley was ranked as the No. 4 kicker in the nation and he certainly lived up to that billing. He was 20-26 on field goal attempts and 42-43 on extra points. He ranked 5th in the SEC in field goal percentage and 2nd in makes per game. Kickers just don’t receive higher than 3-star rankings – a quick review of 247Sports’ rankings back to the 2010 class shows that they didn’t give a single kicker a 4-star ranking – but Medley certainly had 4-star value for Tennessee.
