3. What kind of impact can transfers Ralph David Abernathy IV and Nathan Renfro have?
Jones has had opportunities to address every newcomer on the roster except this pair of transfers that enrolled in May. Abernathy IV, who played for Jones at Cincinnati, brings depth and a different dynamic to the running back position and is a guy who can help receiving out of the backfield and gives another option in the return game. Renfro, formerly of Maryland, should have a good chance to compete for the vacant punting job. It’ll be interesting to hear some of Jones’ first public comments about these two.
