Pre-Camp Depth Chart Projections

Cam Sutton-1-2

 Secondary

Daniel:
S: 1. Brian Randolph 2. Evan Berry
S: 1. LaDarrell McNeil 2. Todd Kelly Jr.
CB: 1. Cam Sutton 2. Micah Abernathy
CB: 1. Emmanuel Moseley 2. Justin Martin
NB: 1. Rashaan Gaulden 2. Darrell Miller

Thoughts: I’ve kept the starters pretty consistent, but took Malik Foreman away from this position for now with the news that he’s going to get some work at receiver (we’ll see if that becomes a permanent move). I’ve also taken Devaun Swafford out, and I’m not sure who else will work at nickel with Gaulden, so I put Miller there for now – though I don’t know if that’s where he’ll actually be. I feel fairly confident in that starting five, but I’m sure there will be some shuffling behind them and I continue to think that TK and Berry will play big roles, even if they’re not technically starters.

Houston:
S: 1. Brian Randolph 2. Evan Berry
S: 1. LaDarrell McNeil 2. Todd Kelly Jr.
CB: 1. Cam Sutton 2. Micah Abernathy
CB: 1.Emmanuel Moseley 2. Justin Martin
NB: 1. Rashaan Gaulden 2. Justin Martin

Thoughts: A few changes due to Foreman’s move to receiver, but nothing crazy. The more I look at this group -especially cornerback – the more I like the starters, but I’m also growing increasingly concerned about depth. This is a group that needs to stay extremely healthy if this defense is going to reach their potential. Safety should be a hidden strength of Team 119.

Reed:
S: 1. Brian Randolph. 2. Evan Berry
S: 1.LaDarrell McNeil  2. Todd Kelly Jr.
CB: 1. Cam Sutton 2. Micah Abernathy
CB: 1. Emmanuel Moseley 2. Justin Martin
NB: Rashaan Gaulden. 2. Darrell Miller

Thoughts: I feel very confident in this group – my only changes came due to Foreman’s switch to receiver. Tennessee’s depth at safety is impressive and I expect both Berry and Kelly to play larger roles with this team even if they don’t start. The Vols need at least one of the second string corners to have a solid camp.
