Kentucky at South Carolina (-7.5), Saturday, 7:30 pm ET, SEC Network
Kevin: Kentucky had a pretty rough outing in its opener against UL-Lafayette and South Carolina looked good enough to beat a decent UNC squad. On paper these teams are pretty similar with the Gamecocks holding a marginal lead in almost every meaningful offensive category. South Carolina still has issues on defense, that is certain, but Kentucky won’t have enough offense on the road to make them pay for it. Take South Carolina -7.5 and enjoy the free money.
John: I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. It’ll take more than a snappy recruiting class or two to turn around a century of football futility. I think Kentucky has a rough year. But that’s not the deciding factor for my pick here. The fact that UT is playing a Stoops brother is. Spread the hate and load up on South Carolina. They cover going away.
