Pick 6: SEC Against the Spread — Week 6

[tps_header][/tps_header]

Missouri-1

No. 11 Florida (-6) at Missouri, Saturday, 7:30 pm ET, SEC Network

Kevin: The Gators have won two emotional games in The Swamp, a non-surprising win over Tennessee and a shocking victory over Ole Miss. Missouri enjoyed a successful debut from freshman Quarterback Drew Lock who went 21-28 for two touchdowns against South Carolina last week. Missouri will finally present the Gators with a formidable pass rush, but can they actually score points against Florida? Florida is bound for a letdown at some point, and Gary Pinkel is poised to get his signature win. In a REALLY difficult pick, i’ll take Missouri +6.

John: Remember that game last year? Missouri had 99 total rushing yards and a meager 20 through the air, yet they still threw up 42 points thanks to Florida turnovers and poor special teams play. That was the moment we all realized that Muschamp was done in Gainesville. No such victory for Missouri this year. There’s not a hotter team in the SEC than the Gators right now. And freshman quarterback Will Grier went 24 of 29 for 271 yards and four TDs. He’ll come back down to earth, but will still be good enough to lead his team to an easy cover. Florida -6.
