No. 15 Texas A&M (-6) at No. 24 Ole Miss, Saturday, 7:00 pm, ESPN
Kevin: Two teams that endured tough losses a week ago, and desperately need to find a way to get back on track. Considering the amount of injuries Ole Miss has, A&M is the safe pick…but if you’ve followed my picks on the season you know that I HATE road favorites. I have to think that Kyle Allen is going to be improved after a flat out disaster against Alabama, and Ole Miss won’t be able to take of advantage of A&M’s weak run defense. Texas A&M -6.
John: I know I told you to pick against me when KH and I disagree, but not on this one, okay? Six is an absolute ton for A&M to be favored by. The optics of losing to a team like Memphis are bad, but the Memphis team, itself? Sorry Vol faithful, but I sure as hell wouldn’t wanna see UT play them. Remember Bowling Green coach Dino Babers, saying Memphis was the best team in Tennessee? I don’t think that was a shot at UT. I think that was his honest opinion. Not sure I agree with it, but, again, wouldn’t wanna play them. Also, that game was at 11am central time. Memphis had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Ole Miss, just the opposite. And finally, this is another game where there’s a home dog that could definitely win outright. You gotta take that each and every time. Rebels +6.
