Overall
Tennessee teams, ultimately, aren’t judged on how they perform against Kentucky. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be impressed with the overall performance of the Vols on Saturday. A Tennessee team that has dealt with the “what ifs” all season made an emphatic statement against a Kentucky team, that while not the most talented squad the Vols will face, still has been decent at times this year and had the capability to hang with the Vols if UT let it. It was a touch sloppy early, but the Vols didn’t let that affect them as they piled up big plays in all three phases and took care of business in an impressive 52-21 win.
