Status: Tennessee got the last visit with Dale Carter’s son, who has emerged as one of the best defensive back targets in the nation in this class. He’s a do-it-all type who is equally adept in stopping the run and pass coverage. He looks college-ready and could compete for playing time immediately as the Vols look to replace two starting safeties.
Alabama and Auburn are the two teams to keep an eye on. But consider this – the Vols know they need a safety and have virtually no Plan B at this spot. It seems that Tennessee is confident in this one heading into NSD. Don’t bet against Butch Jones on legacy kids either.
