Defensive line coach Steve Stripling said on Thursday that Taylor, a redshirt freshman, has completely reshaped his body since he’s been on campus and was even getting some work with the first team during Thursday’s practice. With Derek Barnett, Kyle Phillips and others out at defensive end, Taylor has plenty to prove this season after sitting out last year as a redshirt.
