8. The Schedule
This year’s schedule has to excite Big Orange fans. In the Battle at Bristol, not only do you have a quality opponent in Virginia Tech being led by a promising young coach in Justin Fuente, you also have that whole biggest-crowd-to-ever-see-a-game thing. It’s not every year you get to make history.
On top of that, last year the Vols proved they could beat Florida (read: should have beaten Florida) and they can play with Alabama, too. This season, Tennessee, a year older, wiser and better, gets a shot at both of those hated rivals at home. Which suggests a historic win could be in store for the hometown faithful.
Maybe two?
