1. No national title since 1998
Speaking of 1998, that’s also the last time Tennessee won it all in football. Relative to many other major programs, that’s not too significant of a drought. LSU, Florida, Alabama and Auburn are the only SEC schools that can claim one more recently. But this remains the ultimate goal, and Tennessee certainly hopes it doesn’t have to go through a Cubs-like generational drought before getting another one.
