Overall
This game, in many ways, went according to script. Both offenses put up dynamic numbers, but Tennessee had more firepower in the end. Credit Joshua Dobbs for leading an offense that is carrying the load right now. Defensively, the numbers look pathetic, but the two interceptions and a fourth-down stop were all big momentum shifters in this game. Again, it wasn’t pretty, and as Jones said, this isn’t a team that always wins in the stats, but the Vols did what they could on Saturday, even if it’s not enough to make up for some tough losses earlier in the season.
