Be more respectful to current players and recruits on social media
This one is one of my personal favorites, and it’s pretty self-explanatory. It’s no secret that Vol Twitter is one of the most vocal groups out there, but that isn’t always a great thing. Recently, when 81 All-American recruits were polled, nine said that UT was the most annoying fan base on Twitter. That’s is only a fraction, but recruiting is all about networking. They tell their friends, or other great athletes at camps, about what so and so says on Twitter. That could push them away from that team as well. Think before you tweet. Would you say it to that player or prospect in person? Odds are, the answer is “no” in most cases. So back off on the “tweet” button in those instances.
