Takeaways From Vols at the NFL Combine

QB Josh Dobbs
6-3, 216 pounds

40-yard dash: 4.64 seconds
Vertical leap: 33 inches

Broad jump: 122 inches
3-cone drill: 6.75 seconds
20-yard shuttle: 4.31 seconds

Dobbs had as much if not more to prove than any other former Vol in Indy and he certainly stepped up. He was among the most athletic quarterbacks in attendance based on his overall numbers as he finished near the top in four of the five events he tested in, but it was his throwing session that turned some heads. After coming into the weekend with questions about his accuracy, Dobbs was one of the best in the throwing portion of the event, perhaps easing some concerns in that area. There’s no question that he interviewed well and his durability isn’t a concern. His performance not only solidified Dobbs as a draftable prospect, but also bumped his stock up overall.
