VIDEO: Butch Jones and Players Speak to Media

    by -

After the Vols’ first practice of fall camp on Saturday, head coach Butch Jones and select players met with the media to discuss how the first day preparing for the 2017 season went. And we were there to cover it all.

Butch Jones addressed the team’s overall look after the first day, as well as how certain players such as Shaq Wiggins and Kahlil McKenzie have looked to him so far.

Linebacker Cortez McDowell, who’s expected to start alongside Darrin Kirkland Jr. at one of the two main linebacker spots, spoke about how he’s transformed his body and how the other linebackers have looked so far.

Senior defensive tackle Kendal Vickers spoke about his role as a leader along the defensive line as well as how the defensive linemen are stepping up.

Jarrett Guarantano remarked about his progress from his redshirt season, how Mike Canales has helped him, and how the 7-on-7 work over the summer helped him and the entire team.

Quinten Dormady talked about how he’s developing as a leader on the field and if he likes the possibility of a dual-quarterback system. (There’s only one of him, not five like the auto-correct misspelling suggests.)
