Thoughts: It’s odd to think that the Vols’ most experienced unit will likely be starting a freshman. But that’s just how good Trey Smith has been ever since he stepped foot on campus as an early enrollee in January of this year.
The offensive line is the most versatile unit on Tennessee’s roster this year. This combo could be just one of many that gets tried out in the Georgia Tech game alone, let alone the entire season. The one big move is Jashon Robertson sliding even further inside to take snaps rather than play his usual guard position. But Coleman Thomas could just as easily play there as well.
