Tennessee’s defense had a hard time stopping Vanderbilt on Saturday night. But a couple of Vol defenders made a stop after the game that drew praise from Vol fans everywhere.

Some Vanderbilt players wanted to plant the Commodore flag in the middle of Neyland Stadium’s field last night, but Micah Abernathy and Emmanuel Moseley had other ideas. The two Vol players stole the flag away from the Vanderbilt players, and then a heated exchange of words ensued.

Here’s the full video of the moment:

Vanderbilt may not have been able to get away with that, but they got away with most everything else on Saturday night. They racked up 529 yards of offense and 42 points against a tired and injury-depleted Tennessee defense.

But at least the Vols were able to make one stop on Saturday. Even if it didn’t change the outcome of the game in any way.

  1. I cannot understand what was going through John Curries mind when he decided to hire this person. Did he consult with anybody else? Or was this on his own ? I think we need to replace him with someone who bleeds orange and has some common sense. I understand Schiano wants compensation, OK give him a three dollar bill and a bus ticket back to Ohio.
