2018 Outlook:
Tennessee has two young quarterbacks in Jarrett Guarantano and Will McBride already on the roster. Both of those QBs have experience playing in SEC games. There is also still a chance they add a grad transfer at the position. This should allow Shrout to easily redshirt next year and develop his raw talent an additional season. Unless a crazy injury bug bites the quarterback room (again), it is highly unlikely he will see the field in 2018.
