Former Vol running back Alvin Kamara won the NFL Rookie of the Year award last season, and he got his second year in the league off to a hot start on Sunday.

Kamara totaled 141 yards of offense and scored a career-high three touchdowns in New Orleans’ match-up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kamara carried the ball eight times for 29 yards and two scores and also caught nine passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. He led the team in rushing and was second in catches and receiving yards.

The second-year pro won Rookie of the Year last season by totaling 14 total touchdowns (eight rushing, five receiving, one kick return) and amassing 1,554 yards of total offense. And the former Vol is already off to a roaring start in 2018 and looks well on his way to following up that stellar first season.

But Kamara wasn’t the only former Vol who had a great Sunday. Several other Vols in the NFL performed well in the opening weekend of the 2018 NFL season.

Former Vol cornerback and standout punt returner Cam Sutton had a game-saving interception for his first career INT in the NFL, and plenty other former Vols made noise on Sunday.
